Highlights from March 2026 LDUG

LDUG Returns This September

The March 2026 London Db2 User Group (LDUG) once again demonstrated why it remains a key fixture in the Db2 for z/OS calendar every year. Bringing together Db2 practitioners, architects, and performance specialists, the event delivered a packed agenda covering real‑world challenges, practical guidance, and deep technical insight.

If you were unable to attend — or would like to revisit the material — the presentation slides are now available to download. Among the many expert-led sessions, Triton Consulting delivered two presentations; Gareth Copplestone‑Jones’ session on “Explaining EXPLAIN” and John Campbell’s “Db2 for z/OS Data Sharing Performance Analysis and Tuning”.

In “Explaining EXPLAIN”, Gareth Copplestone‑Jones focused on the basics of Db2 EXPLAIN, building a solid foundation for understanding how Db2 processes SQL and why EXPLAIN remains one of the most important tools in a Db2 professional’s toolkit.

In addition to the Triton Consulting sessions, you can also download the slides from the other speakers, including IBM’s Bart Steegmans and NatWest’s Dhiren Chaudhary.
