Peter Hansen is a highly experienced Db2 consultant with a career in enterprise IT spanning four decades. He began his career in 1986 as a Db2 and IMS system programmer and has since built deep, hands-on expertise across IBM mainframe technologies. Peter has been consulting with Triton for over 20 years, working on long-term client engagements across the financial services sector and beyond.
Peter works as a Db2 consultant at a major UK bank, where he specialises in Db2 for z/OS, including stored procedure design and development. His work focuses on large-scale database archiving and clean-up initiatives, as well as the implementation of IBM Optim TDM/DP. Over the last four years, Peter has also been heavily involved in implementing Red Hat OpenShift on IBM Z for a major UK bank, helping organisations adopt modern container platforms within their mainframe environments.
Peter has also delivered Optim implementations for Bank of America and has supported major organisations including Marks & Spencer, Nationwide, EDS and Aviva. He is known for his deep technical knowledge, practical approach and ability to work effectively within complex, business-critical environments.
