Triton Director to Present at DB2 Symposium 2017

We are happy to announce that Triton Director and IBM Gold Consultant, Julian Stuhler has been invited to present at DB2 Symposium 2017. DB2 Symposium is a must attend training event for DB2 professionals around the world that fills the gap between a DB2 conference and a workshop. Its unique approach allows attendees to join for 1, 2 or 3 days.

The event will take place at Veldhoven in The Netherlands from 16th to 18th May and consists of six z/OS and three DB2 LUW full-day sessions. All presenters on the agenda are IBM DB2 Gold Consultants who have been awarded their IBM status because they have demonstrated technical leadership, vast industry experience, market knowledge and a strong digital presence.

Julian will be presenting Session 1 – DB2 Memory Management Masterclass on Tuesday 16th May. Julian will take a comprehensive look at the architecture, management and performance tuning issues associated with DB2 for z/OS system storage, including both real and virtual storage monitoring and tuning. The all-day session will also include some early experiences of the new in-memory features within DB2 12 for z/OS.

Julian’s session on DB2 Memory Management Masterclass will cover:

• An Introduction To DB2 Memory Management
• Managing DB2 Storage Pools
• Buffer Pools
• EDM Pool
• Dynamic Statement Cache
• Other DBM1 Memory Pools
• Other DB2 Address Spaces
• Data Sharing Considerations
• Managing DB2 Virtual Storage
• Managing DB2 Real Storage
• DB2 12 and The Future

This will be a perfect seminar for DB2 for z/OS Systems Programmers and DBAs wishing to enhance their knowledge of DB2 memory management and tuning in V10, V11 and beyond.
