Triton launch new DB2 10 for z/OS version migration services
London UK – 11th July: This week Triton Consulting have announced a new package of DB2 z/OS migration service offerings including migration workshops, implementation, support and new version training.
The new services aim to help customers with the often complex task of migrating from DB2 v8 and v9 to DB2 v10. IBM announced the launch of DB2 v10 back in October 2010 and organisations are now beginning to start planning their migration projects.

As well as useful new technical features, DB2 10 brings with it some immediate cost benefits with significant CPU reductions. Most organisations are able to save 5-10% out of the box with no application changes, when compared to DB2 v9.

With this latest release it is also possible for organisations currently running DB2 v8 to skip straight to v10 rather than going sequentially through the versions. One of the services included in Triton’s new package is a specific DB2 v8 skip migration workshop.
