John Campbell, Senior Consultant at Triton, will be speaking at the GSE UK virtual conference next week.

The GSE UK Virtual Conference 2025 runs from Tuesday, April 29, to Thursday, May 1, 2025. This three-day event, themed “Mainframe@60: The Diamond Anniversary of Digital Dominance,” celebrates six decades of mainframe innovation. Best of all, registration is free for all attendee. For those unable to attend live sessions, recordings will be available for two months post-conference, ensuring everyone can benefit from the event.​

John’s session “Db2 for z/OS Data Sharing Performance Tuning” will run from 11:15am to 12:00pm on Tuesday, 29th April, 2025.

The session will introduce and discuss the Db2 for z/OS Architecture, how to tune Db2 global locking and how to tune Db2 group buffer pools. As part of Db2 global locking, there will be a deep dive on the use of Db2 LOCK1 structure and advice provided on how tune global lock contention. As part of Db2 group buffer pools, there will be a deep dive on the use of the Db2 group buffer pool cache structures, the key performance metrics and how to tune these structures.
