DB2 11 for z/OS – An IDUG Technical User Perspective
Yet another DB2 11 for z/OS white paper has been released!
In March 2013 the IDUG DB2 11 Editorial Committee was formed, comprised of volunteers from IDUG’s worldwide community of DB2 users and consultants (including me). Working alongside IBM’s formal Early Support Program (ESP), the Editorial Committee gained valuable insight into exactly what makes the new release tick. This White Paper contains their findings, including practical experiences and independent evaluations of the new features.
This paper has a very different perspective to the Business Value white paper I released a few weeks ago. This one is aimed at Sysprogs, DBAs and Developers, and takes a more detailed technical look at the new features and how they can be used. You can download the new white paper from the IDUG website here. You’ll need to be an IDUG member, but it only takes a few minutes to register (and if you’re reading this blog you should definitely be part of IDUG!).
While we’re on the subject of IDUG, they are giving away a free registration so one of their 2014 technical conferences. The winner will be randomly chosen from the list of people who leave comments on this blog entry that announced the new white paper. Why not leave a comment and give yourself a chance to get some first-class DB2 technical education next year?
