As the head of Modernisation Services, James Gill is responsible for overseeing Triton’s DataOps, Db2 Tool Replacement and DevOps offerings.
DevOps has become another industry buzzword but has revolutionised the quality and reliability of application delivery. With a long standing focus on databases, development and support automation, this has been a topic of focus for Triton for a long time. Whether this is by automated provisioning of mainframe development and functional testing environments in z/OS and private cloud, creating automation to deliver CICS and Db2 applications and object changes through the route-to-live or automating application performance trending charts, we are helping the very largest customers step into mainframe DevOps.
James comes from a background of small highly technical teams, where automation of tasks to ensure delivery reliability and quality has always been a necessity. Supporting and implementing solutions on z/OS, z/VM, Linux and OpenShift, we help customers deliver resilient, performance and secure solutions to their customers.
James is an IBM Gold Consultant and is a regular presenter at IDUG EMEA and a prolific blogger on the Triton Consulting technical blog channel.
