Total Recall – Julian Stuhler announced as a speaker on the IBM DB2 for z/OS Technical Seminar

We’re delighted to announce that Julian Stuhler will be speaking at the upcoming DB2 Technical Seminar on 25th September.

Julian Stuhler will be presenting on the fascinating topic of in-memory features:

Total Recall: Exploiting In-Memory Features in DB2 12 for z/OS
IBM has steadily expanded the in-memory capabilities of DB2 in recent releases, to the extent that DB2 12 for z/OS is now officially recognised by Gartner as a bona fide “In Memory Database”. This presentation provides an overview of the ways in which DB2 is evolving to exploit more real memory, reduce CPU and deliver improved price/performance, with a specific emphasis on exploiting new DB2 12 in-memory features such as contiguous buffer pools and Fast Traverse Blocks (FTBs).

Joining Julian will be some of the most highly skilled DB2 for z/OS practitioners in the industry who will be covering a range of topics including:

– DB2 trends and directions
– New application development
– DB2 tools

Come along to the evening drinks reception, hosted by the Triton team for the chance to do some networking and discuss all that you’ve learned during the day.
