Triton Team Up for IDUG EMEA Conference
Triton Consulting will be represented this year by speakers Iqbal Goralwalla, James Cockayne, Mark Gillis and Damir Wilder. In a twist to their regular presentations Triton will team up for this year’s presentations.
Highly experienced DB2 Consultants Iqbal and James will be giving a fascinating presentation entitled Easing the dilemma of choosing a DB2 Cloud Platform.
With several major cloud vendors competing to host your databases, it is important to understand the strengths, weaknesses and quirks of each. This presentation shares the experiences of Triton consultants as they have evaluated and conducted proof of concepts of hosting various DB2 configurations on Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and IBM cloud infrastructures.
Mark Gillis and Damir Wilder will be taking us through Migrating an on-premise DB2 environment to the AWS Cloud: a real-life success story
This is a case study of a migration from an on-premise DB2 V11.1 mission-critical HADR environment to an AWS Cloud installation. It will include the pre-requisites, setup on AWS, data migration, testing, and the actual production cut-over. We will share ups and downs, the pitfalls, gotchas and tribulations, as well as advice on how to manage the migration successfully.
There will be lots of other fantastic presentations throughout the week but here are a few of our top picks:
- IBM Keynote – Journey to AI with Al Martin
- DB2 for z/OS Trends and Directions – New News with Maureen Townsend
- DB2 11.5: Making life simpler Paul Bird
