Triton Transition to an Employee-Owned Company
Triton Consulting, experts in Hybrid Data Management and Digital Transformation, has today announced that it has become an employee-owned company.
The company is now majority owned by an Employee Ownership Trust with all employees given a stake in the business. Triton Directors, Julian Stuhler and Paul Stoker remain at the helm of the business.
Triton has been providing consultancy services for over 25 years and is internationally recognised for its exceptional level of DB2 and Data Engineering expertise with three IBM Gold Consultants and seven IBM Data & AI Champions.
Julian Stuhler, co-founder and Operations Director at Triton Consulting, who set up the company in 1996 says “In almost three decades, Triton has grown from a small team of DB2 experts into one of the UK’s leading providers of database consultancy and digital transformation solutions, offering services to a wide range of clients across the UK and the rest of the world.
“In times of such uncertainty, we are thrilled that 2021 has begun with an exciting new phase in Triton’s journey. With collective control of the company now put in place, we know we are in a strong position to ensure the continued financial success of the company.”

The appetite for employee-owned models has increased. In a recent survey by White Rose Centre for Employee Ownership there are now over 470 employee-owned businesses, up 28% in 2019 with 100 new employee-owned businesses since June last year.
In 2018 the Ownership Effect Inquiry revealed the benefits and value that can be gained from having more employee ownership in the UK economy. Studies have shown that employee-owned firms are more resilient to socio-economic changes, show increased productivity and job satisfaction and improved employee engagement.
