IDUG NA – Across the Pond and Around the Corner

With just under a week to go, IDUG NA DB2 Tech Conference is just around the corner.

The IDUG DB2 Tech Conference is the biggest, most prestigious DB2 conference and this year’s IDUG NA event is shaping up to be the best virtual IDUG yet!

Consisting of educational seminars, workshops and over 100 dynamic sessions, it provides a fantastic opportunity for attendees to expand their knowledge and connect with experts from around the world. It is also one of the best places to catch up on new DB2 updates and latest releases.

This year’s conference begins on Monday 7th June 2021 and runs for eight days until Wednesday 16th June.

Triton Consulting will be represented this year by speakers Damir Wilder and Mark Gillis.

Damir Wilder, Senior Consultant and IBM Champion will present Migrating DB2 to the AWS Cloud: Mission Impossible – Completed! on Wednesday 9th June at 11:25 a.m. EDT (session 8)

This is a sequel to a previous presentation by Damir on a then ongoing migration from an on-premise DB2 V11.1 mission-critical database to an AWS Cloud installation. Damir’s presentation will pick up where his last one stopped, showing exactly what was done and how, including further lessons learned and tips for others considering a similar DB2 migration.

Mark Gillis, Principal Consultant and IBM Champion will present Foreign Affairs: Understanding Foreign Keys and Their Impact. Mark’s presentation takes place on Friday 11th June at 1:50 p.m. EDT (session 16).

Mark will provide real-life examples of Foreign Key usage, to highlight the pitfalls of them being used in a sub-optimal fashion, to share some tools and techniques for examining and operating them and to highlight some of the problems and gotchas.
