Introducing Triton’s newly appointed directors

James Gill – Director of Modernisation Services

With an impressive background spanning more than 25 years in Db2 for z/OS and other integral elements of z/OS systems, James Gill brings extensive expertise and knowledge to his new role.

As Director of Modernisation Services, James will spearhead Triton’s transformation and modernisation offerings, leveraging his strong emphasis on automation and delivering exceptional results. With his visionary leadership, Triton anticipates significant advancements, innovation, and success in the company’s application modernisation, DataOps, and DevOps solutions.

Having led technically adept teams in the past, James understands the significance of automation in guaranteeing dependable and high-quality deliveries.

Iqbal Goralwalla – Director of Database Services

Iqbal Goralwalla’s extensive background encompasses various facets of data, including architecture, strategy, design, modelling, development, and administration.

As a member of IBM’s Technical Advisory Board and past President of IDUG, Iqbal has consistently demonstrated his commitment to driving innovation and excellence in the field of data management.

In his new role, Iqbal will direct the Database Services team while continuing to serve as a Principal Consultant, assisting customers with their Db2-related challenges through short, focused engagements.

Gareth Copplestone-Jones – Director of Infrastructure Services

Gareth, an expert in Db2 for z/OS, has an impressively long career in the IT industry. Throughout his professional journey, Gareth has held diverse roles such as DBA, Systems Programmer, and member of IBM’s Db2 for z/OS Development SWAT Team. He has also served as a principal consultant at Triton, further enhancing his knowledge and skills.

With a career spanning four decades, Gareth has accumulated a wealth of experience in various sectors, including banking and finance, retail, manufacturing, and utilities.

While Gareth’s primary focus lies in Db2 for z/OS, his strong emphasis on resilience and maintaining high/continuous availability has resulted in his expertise extending to various areas related to Db2.

As the new Director of Infrastructure Services, Gareth will oversee Triton’s cost reduction and management initiatives, as well as conduct infrastructure reviews and designs for Triton’s offerings.
